A wooden architectural model of an arched structure with a small figurine of a woman standing in front of it

Chadwick Lake Boathouse

First Semester, Sophomore Year: Fall 2025

Site Location: Beside the Sanderson Center, Mississippi State, MS 39762

This project was the first project of my second year in the architecture program. It is an addition to the Sanderson Center recreational plex and brings boating activities to the lake beside the building. It houses an attendant’s desk, storage for eight canoes and eight kayaks, a designated launch area, life jackets, and paddles. This design is organized in a way that all of the implements can be stored and locked up overnight and during the off-seasons, which leaves the space open for public enjoyment without an attendant around. It could be a small stage, covered study space, picnic grounds, gathering spot, yoga dojo and much more.
